It’s Oyster Time

With the weather getting nicer, we’re filling up our spring/summer calendar with festivals, private events and our usual rotation through Richmond’s top breweries. We’re having a $1 oyster night next Wednesday, May 3rd hosted by our good friends at The Veil Brewing Co (4-9pm) to set the season off. Stay tuned for more dates!

First Oyster Roast of the Season

We’d like to thank everyone who came out to The Veil Brewing to celebrate the release of their limited-run imperial oyster stout, Unloved. It was a great crowd, the beer was fantastic and the weather cooperated, making our first ever oyster roast a blast.

Northern Neck Oyster Roast at The Veil

Saturday, October 8th is almost here! We’ve had this in the works for some time with our good friends at The Veil Brewing – there’s going to be plenty of oysters on the grill, a new Imperial Stout made with Tangier Island Oyster Co.’s finest, music, good times… come hang out!

Where the oil goes…

Ever wondered what happens to the oil we use to cook your Po’boys and hush puppies? All of Northern Neck’s cooking oil is recycled by our friends at VA BioDiesel in West Point, Virginia, where it is refined and circulated back into the local market. We had a look around yesterday and came back with a new bin which VA BioDiesel will empty every few weeks. If you’re a restaurant owner, go check them out!
